Beginner Guide: How to Start Your Farm - Chicken Farm Roblox Wiki
Everything a brand-new player needs in the first hour: buy chickens, collect eggs, deposit them for cash, and merge your way up the tier ladder.
Overview
Chicken Farm is a Simulation and Tycoon experience on Roblox built by the verified group Skandi Studios, where you buy chickens, collect the eggs they lay, and sell those eggs for cash. The core loop is simple: reinvest every dollar into more birds, then merge duplicates into rarer tiers that produce far more valuable eggs. This beginner guide covers your first hour, from the $1 starting balance to a stable income stream.
Watch the Beginner Walkthrough
This community video walks through the exact fundamentals — buying chickens, gathering eggs, depositing them, and triggering your first merge — so you can see each step on a real farm before trying it yourself.
Your First Five Minutes
You start with almost no cash, but it is enough to buy your very first chicken. Once placed on your farm, the chicken begins laying eggs automatically, and those eggs are the foundation of everything you earn from here on.
Walk directly over each egg to pick it up — collection is automatic on contact. Once you have a handful, head to the deposit square to move them into the egg shop, where they convert into cash you can reinvest.
Buy your first chicken
Step onto the Buy 1 square to spend your starting cash on a Basic chicken, then watch it begin laying eggs inside the coop.
Collect the eggs
Walk over the eggs that drop on the ground to gather them automatically; aim for a small batch before depositing.
Deposit at the egg shop
Stand on the deposit square to send your collected eggs into the shop, where they start selling for cash.
Collect your cash
Move to the collect cash square to pocket the money, then immediately reinvest it into another chicken.
Expand and Reinvest
After your first few chickens, switch to buying in larger batches using the Buy 5, Buy 25, and Buy 100 squares as your budget allows. Bulk buying fills your farm faster and sets up more merges, which is the real engine of progression. The more duplicates you own, the sooner three of them line up to combine.
Each new chicken also pushes up the chance of lucky blocks dropping, since more birds of a tier means more boxes of that tier. Early on, keep your money flowing into birds and upgrades rather than spending it on block unlocks.
Buy Tiers Explained
The buy squares let you purchase chickens in different quantities. Use the table below to pick the right tier for your current cash, and remember that income per second upgrades matter just as much as flock size.
| Buy Square | What It Does | When to Use |
|---|---|---|
| Buy 1 | Purchases a single chicken | Very first purchase and testing the loop |
| Buy 5 | Purchases five chickens at once | Early game once you have steady cash |
| Buy 25 | Purchases twenty-five at once | Mid game to set up fast merges |
| Buy 100 | Purchases one hundred at once | Late game bulk buying for big merges |
Core Mechanics to Learn First
These four systems are the backbone of every successful farm. Master them in your first session and the rest of the game opens up naturally, from rebirth to rare chicken hunting.
Buy Chickens
Spend cash on birds in batches to keep production rising every minute.
Collect Eggs
Walk over eggs to gather them, or stand on the conveyor to auto-collect.
Merge Duplicates
Combine three identical chickens into one of the next higher tier.
Upgrade Income
Raise income per second so your deposited eggs sell for cash faster.
Common Beginner Mistakes
Most new players stall out because they repeat the same easily avoidable errors. Skim this list once and you will skip the slow starts that catch everyone else, leaving more time to chase rare tiers.
Avoiding these habits keeps your cash compounding instead of stalling, which is the single biggest difference between a farm that plateaus and one that keeps climbing.
- Hoarding cash instead of reinvesting it into more chickens immediately.
- Selling eggs while the egg multiplier is below 1x, losing value on every deposit.
- Spending early money on lucky block unlocks before having stable income.
- Ignoring the income-per-second upgrade and waiting forever for eggs to sell.
- Forgetting to collect cash from the collection square after depositing eggs.
